How to tie the Bayas?
Instructions for measuring waist circumference
To measure your waist size for waistbeads, use a measuring tape and place it around your waist, where you want to wear your beads (high waist, midsection or hips). Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight. Note the measurement in centimeters.
Our waistbeads are automatically made with braided nylon thread for added strength. If you prefer elastic thread, please specify in the notes when ordering.
Instructions for Tying Waist Beads
1. Position the beads :
• Take one end of your waist beads .
• Place it behind your back as you would a belt.
2. Choose location :
• Cross the beads where you want them.
• If you're tracking your weight, place them about a half-inch above your belly button .
3. Release the slip knots :
• Gently pull on each red anchor bead to loosen the slip knots.
• Hold the crossover point firmly to maintain the desired fit.
4. Make the first knot :
• Tie a first simple knot. Don't worry if this knot is not yet perfectly adjusted.
5. Eliminate the gaps :
• Tie a second secure knot , pulling tightly to eliminate spaces between the beads.
6. Finalize the nodes :
• Tie 2-3 additional knots to strengthen the connection.
7. Cut off the excess:
• Use sharp scissors to cut the string about 3mm from the last knot , including any unnecessary anchor beads.
8. Secure the knot :
• Beginners: Apply a dab of super glue to the knot to prevent it from slipping.
(Caution: Dried glue may irritate skin.)
• Experts: Lightly burn the ends of the knot with a lighter, then carefully roll them between your fingers to secure them.
9. Enjoy your waist beads !
• Your pearls are now ready to wear.
By following these simple steps, you will have securely attached and beautiful Bayas!
